You are supporting the healing environment that is vital to patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and visitors. Additionally, your donations to the Buhler Gallery are very important to our many local and regional artists. The Buhler Gallery is one of only a few contemporary public galleries in Manitoba that can provide high quality exhibition space, in a meaningful setting, all while not charging an entry fee.

Information on donating works of art to the Buhler Gallery Permanent Collection:

The Buhler Gallery and St. Boniface Hospital are committed to collecting and preserving Canadian arts and crafts with a particular emphasis in works produced by the Manitoba arts community. Unique amongst museums in Manitoba the Buhler Gallery’s Permanent Collection serves the function of healing and wellness for the St. Boniface Hospital Campus.

If you have a piece of art work that you think that Buhler Gallery may be interested in, please contact us at 204-237-2309, or [email protected] with the following information:

  • An image of the piece
  • Name of the artist
  • Name of the piece
  • Date the piece was completed
  • Medium(s)
  • Size
  • Other relevant information you may have about the piece (i.e., framing, condition, etc.)

Before any work of art is accepted by the Buhler Gallery it must be approved by the Arts Advisory Council, a volunteer governing board which consists of members of the arts, medical and professional community. Works that are accepted are considered in-kind donations and are eligible for a tax receipt provided the donor has a qualified appraiser value the piece.

Les œuvres acceptées sont considérées comme des dons en nature et donnent droit à un reçu à des fins fiscales, à condition que le donateur fasse évaluer l’œuvre par un expert.
